| Kyle Ringquist’s paintings shine. Literally. He has taken the ancient
art of reverse painting on glass and updated it to lucite and
acrylic. (He does do a few special pieces on glass too, as well as
transferring some of the acrylic works from the glass onto
canvas.) The mirror surface of the lucite gives a depth and vibrancy
of color that just isn’t possible on canvas, making paintings seem
