My new work has an open, atmospheric feel, as if there is change imminent that has not quite been realized. I begin a canvas with somewhat dubious intent, and often when it is least expected, something emerges ... as in an ‘ah ha’ moment, sometimes referred to as the ‘shock of recognition.’
